It's my goal to be there in 2015. Bonus if some kind of Michigan meet is around the same time.

I'll have to wait and see though. I have other things I'm planning for vacation next summer, and that will chew into my time off and wallet.

It was -4* this AM and we're in for a couple inches of snow this evening... Has me dreaming of better times.

Plus, for those interested, the in-house entertainment has 12 - 15 channels of free pron.
It must be in the Bible Belt then. - BC

If you're referring to "bible belt" as those stocked by the Gideon's in the nightstand drawer...

Highest amount of porn is typically sold in the "old confederacy" and Utah. I'm being sarcastic. - BC

That actually wouldn't shock me at all to be honest...

Depravity is always where you'll find the most underground flows of contraband.

I'd be willing to host a meet the Thursday-Sunday/Monday of Woodward if we can get a fair amount of people interested. I'm about an hour north of Detriot, but less than 20 minutes From the Back to the Bricks cruise in Flint that same weekend.

We have plenty of time, unfortunately, to see if we can get a group together.

Well you know I'm in, even if it's not a big group.

I know a Holden guy we met with living up that was was bragging about the back to the bricks thing.

I've been to the Bricks, not to Woodward. Based on the pictures I've seen, Woodward is a LOT bigger. But there are a lot of cars in Flint too. The cruise runs during the week, then downtown is shut down for the show that weekend. It''s worth seeing.

Woodwad is a non-stop, week long, rolling car show. You'll see anything and everything. You'll see concept cars and test mules, as well as some "custom creations" by those who work for the big 3. I had a V8 ford focus next to me one year...

He was raving about B2B, which I'm sure is cool, but they estimate that nearly a million people come to Woodward, and probably at least 50,000 cars.

Sorry, went and looked at the dream cruise website;
http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/
Today, the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world’s largest one-day automotive event, drawing 1.5 million people and 40,000 classic cars each year from around the globe—from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the former Soviet Union. North American cruisers from California, Georgia, Canada and all points in between caravan to Metro Detroit to participate in what has become, for many, an annual rite of summer.

Yeah, B2B is more 50's-70's muscle focused. I used to like that the cars were parked up and down Saginaw St so you could get close to them. But I don't really need that anymore.

It's cool, but not nearly Woodward amazeballs.

I love classics, but you can only see so many of them. It's almost this way with mustangs. I swear, every mustang in the world was at Woodward last year.

So, looking back at my thread on CHC last year, I booked around this time at the place I stay at. I will probably do the same here shortly.

I stayed at Marvins Garden Inn in Southfield, MI. It's cheap, close, and has lots of free pron. If I can find something equally as cheap and even closer, I might try that, but otherwise, this is the default.

I go every year, on Saturday. Last year, we took my buddies G8 but this year he plans to have a full Kooks/Corsa system and Livernois tune before the cruise. If it's not done, we'll be in the Bonnie.

Wouldn't mind meeting up with follow Pontiac guys that evening.

Also, Pontiac is the rowdy section of the dream cruise. Woodward starts downtown Detroit and goes to Pontiac MI, where it turns around and people cruise back. The turn around is where you'll find a bunch or burn-out pits and mustangs wrapped around trees. There are guys standing on the sides of the road with garden hoses just to wet the road down for you even... It's something to see, that's for sure...

Technically it starts at eight mile road in Ferndale. If it started downtown the cruise wouldn't exist because they would have all been carjacked or murdered.

As someone who currently works downtown, I can vouch that downtown is okay. It's just everything between downtown and 8 mile that you need to avoid.
