For the tie rods, do you have a remover tool? It has jaws that fit over the steering knuckle and a bolt that drives the pin out. You can rent them at auto zone. Keep the nut on the pin so it doesn't go flying out.

I can get the actual outer tie rod loose from the knuckle I just can't break it loose from the inner tie-rod. Mine also appears to not have a jam nut like most, looks factory still. If there is a trick I'll try it, but if not I might cut the tie-rod end off and replace both inner and outers since I've got a inner removal tool.

Little update today. Finally got around to installing my ZZP shift kit in my car to cure my shudder problem when taking off. It was successful, no more shudder and shifts are nice and smooth. For a daily driver work car like mine this was more that sufficient as far as firmness goes. If your more for neck snapping shifts then I would have added the extra spacers the kit included. Install took about about 2 hours with me working like a turtle, very straight forward. All in all pleased with the purchase. I still curse GM for never putting a drain plug in these... :twisted:
