For people it's ok. It's due to the "scalloping" of the seat back in front of you that allows it. But for bulky child seats, even the forward facing ones as they get bigger and heavier it's useless. Because as they grow, so do their legs! If they're sitting up higher in a seat, their legs contact the seat back. And you know how kicks are mindful NOT to kick their feet...

If I liked the interiors more I would do it in the blink of an eye! I love the looks and of course the power!

I wonder why they didn't do the "scalloping" in the Bonnevilles. Rear seat room would have been pretty good then.

Really appreciate the opinions...
I think that because I plan to daily drive this beast, and that it would be very precious to me, it should hold up while I procure the go-fast parts to make it tough and ready for the turbo plans. If I do go ahead and buy, I will begin that task of clutch/shifter improvements, and as it sounds a bit of suspension support will be needed as well. I confirmed that the rear end is the updated version from GM to fix the ones from prior to 2006, so that should be safe for now until I put in some more power adders.
If it goes ahead...pics will follow, and again, thanks for the insight.

What color? Maybe I missed that in the original post.
I heart Crystal Red Tintcoat with the light tan (nuetral), interior.

Eh... The seats are still about 2 miles too wide. XD

I think what Ed is referring to, is that the center section is recessed to help with knee/leg room, but yes, for a longer wheelbase car, you'd think it'd have more rear seat room. For some reason, GM likes to design the front passenger area with all the legroom. Which I can't necessarily fault them with because the majority of time it's just the driver (well, all the time there), and perhaps a front passenger. The back doesn't get used as often, other than for cargo/storage.

Its black with graphite/black 2 tone interior. It offers the same silhouette appearance as my SSEI. If I'm lucky, the wife won't even notice I changed cars LOL.

OH! You're doing this without her knowing. You like to live dangerously, huh?
I tried pulling the same crap when I replaced the exhaust on something (I forget which car it was), and I wasn't even all the way in the driveway and she came running out with the frying pan asking "WHAT DID YOU DO?"
