18s with good spoke clearance and healthy offset.

Spent a couple more hours on the bracket in solid works last night. Its looking trickier and trickier. Trying to figure out how much torque to simulate the loading so I can decide if its going to be strong enough.

So 2500ft lbs between the bolts on the control arm to the bolts on the caliper? Or 2500 at the outside out the tire? Its tough to get a handle on the deflection readings I get from solid works. Its not showing much difference between 6061 aluminum and 316 stainless. I take that to mean wleither its fairly sturdy to begin with or I'm totally screwing things up.

Currently looking at starting over on the design to get more material between the bolt holes of the control arm and the caliper.

Not really. I've been trying to install solid works on any of my computers and I can't seem to make it happen. I'm not great with his level of computer stuff, so basically its at a standstill til I can either get an install to work I use someone else's rig.

Can you get a free trial download from solid works themselves? I know autodesk does this. The you just have to come up with a key or get your stuff done in the first 30 days.

Not really. A full version can be insanely expensive. A friend of mine paid $4500 for an individual license. The student version is still $150 and is only good for a year.

The problems im having seem mostly to do with the installer package, not where it came from.
