Thought I'd post this here for anyone interested:

These particular tips are made by Silverline, part numbers TK9002 and TK9003 (there's a right one (9002) and a left one (9003)). The cheapest place I found them was at CumminsPerformanceParts.com (imagine that!) at $48.14 each. Their part numbers are SVLTK9002 and SVLTK9003, and shipping was free.

They are not clamp-on items; they need to be welded in place. You'll also have to cut about 1.5-2" off the taillpipe (a Sawzall with a metal cutting blade makes quick work of this), depending on how far under the bumper cover you want your tips. They slip snugly over the existing taillpipe so they're easy to place & weld.

I had the equipment to do this myself (Sawzall & welder), but it was so easy I'll bet a muffler shop would do it for $30 or so.

Anyone here catch the faux pas on that the Dodge truck on that link above for the Cummins website, in which that truck has a CTD, yet a "CAT" decorative front plate?

They look great, Stan. If I bought them, would you drive up here and install them for me?

No problem, Dick. I'll just throw the sawzall and the TIG welder in the trunk and buzz on over. :)

Just make sure you stick the Twinkies all over the windshield of my car.

Odd that nobody commented on the fact that I bought these exhaust tips for my wife for our anniversary. :btruestory:

Agreed. She was thrilled to get them too - even posted a picture of 'em on Facebook.

Proof that women like shiny things.

Had to lose the tag....cost way too much to keep...

Here is the exact same tips on ebay...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-STAINLESS-STE ... 764wt_1157

Price is way more than when I bought them...I only paid $115 in Dec. 08.

But they look like they were made to fit!!... my exhaust guy got them centered just right!

Let us know what you end up doing.

And here I said I wasn't going to do anything to the SSEi. Though I just painted the tips it has on it, so I'm not as tempted to do it at the moment.
