Michigan Mega Meet! September 13th - 16th (read first post)

Time for a little update here!

Things have been insane around here with a ton of overtime and also a couple major things happening right now. #1 I will share soon, #2 is I finally got the job I have been after for 2.5 years now! This job provides way more opportunity for advancement and much better pay as well as better benefits then my current job can offer. That said, it is also a $7 / hour pay cut to start.... we are making steps towards making it so that cut won't hurt us and the major change for that is moving. We will be in the same area but about 15 miles away, a house my dad bought a while back as a project / retirement home. The good part is we don't have to pay anything to live there, bad part is I have to completely gut the house and rewire it all, some new plumbing and all new drywall. It is going to be a large project but it will make our life so much easier and better in the long run! I start the. Ew job on September 30th!

Now, with that out of the way, the meet is still on! It will be September 14th and 15th. Not the normal four day meet of years past, but I can squeeze in a couple days though. Early arrivals can show up late friday night as I will be home from work around 11:30 and anyone is welcome to stay through Monday if they want, I leave for work at 2:30 Monday. With basically all of our money going into the new house, this will be a more chill laid back type of meet mostly just hanging out with friends maybe doing some wrenching and having some beers around a massive bonfire!

I had been planning to go to the G8 G.O.N.E. meet the following weekend in Bettendorf, IA, but I will gladly cancel to come up to Ryan's The way I see it, a dozen or so of real friends > 70 random G8 owners that I have little to no idea about!

Ryan, wondering if I can do another parts shipment to you...

I am going to take that Friday off work as well and I don't work until 3 PM Monday, so gonna extend the invite to the 13th - 16th

I'm working on trying to get that Friday and Monday off. So far, I have not gotten approval. Things have gotten kind of rough at work, so I'm not sure how this will work out yet.

I am leaning towards the Bonneville because of the gas mileage, and it has an awesome stereo system in it. But, it also has terrible knock and no A/C.

I might have the A/C fixed by then, but with the knock I have, trying to run with everyone else might get me an exploded engine in Michigan!

I'll know better as it gets closer, still waiting to get those days off. . .
