To quickly tune, and tone a box or change its internal volume(size) you can add whats called poly-fill commonly known as pillow stuffing its a cotton like material and it can make big and noticeable differences !
The structure/construction of the box is as important as well along with making sure if its sealed its air tight, and usually when using a sealed box that's separated internally between subs can helps also!
Using dynomat or a similar vibration/sound dampening product on the inside of your trunk lid and rear quarters can help tighten and clean up any loud system along with help raise your DB output a bit -

Just like tuning a kick drum in a trap set.

Mines a work in progress, just got in the day of the superbowl

I just bought the Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD head unit and that has been the thing troubling me most so far is trying to get it installed. After that though im planning on buying either Alpine Type-R or Type-S 6.5" Component System speakers for the front, same type but 6x9" in the rear deck, and then (2) 12" Skar Audio VVX subwoofers for the trunk running off of a Skar 1500.1 amp

I have a few plans in my head for both the bonne and the fiero. I have a nice kappa 12 that will go back into the bonne using a new enclosure based off my trucks prototype I built over the summer. Its a bass tube built from 12 inch diameter PVC pipe. the trucks setup is a little rough and doesn't fit all that well in the back seat but it sounds amazing. the car will have a longer tube (2ft or longer if it will fit) and will be flared at one end to accommodate the larger sub all in all I intend for it to basically cover the front area of the trunk where my amps will sit.
the fiero is another story, it has barely any space inside the cabin and most people either put a more powerful sub in the stock location (behind the dash) or they make foot well boxes, neither of which are ideal in any way. My plan is to buy the 5 channel Kenwood that will is running and get two shallow mount 10's then I want to construct two small enclosures and somehow build them into the seats either behind or underneath.

For the fiero, Id do kicks with components in them and a consol sub enclosure. Keep the 5 channel idea and run active crossovers to the components.

the console idea probably wont work, the center stack is molded into the floor pan it and the console just sits on top. plus the computer sits behind the center compartment

The Tactile transducer is a very mysterious and powerful device and it's mystery is exceeded only by it's power.

I have a 3200w Crossfire XT212. It'll out-do two 15's all day. Hooked up to a MMATS 3000.05 (3250w @ .5 ohm). A Digital Designs 4 Channel rocking MB Quart Premium components in Q-Forms in the front, and Powerbass 6x9s in the back. Easily the best sounding and by far the loudest system in my area and for miles around. These subs are ridiculous.. Used to have 2 and it was overkill lol. Sold one to a buddy for $400 a few months ago and now he's enjoying it
FYI.. I work at a stereo shop owned by my dad.. who has multiple world records for SPL competitions.. You might say we know a thing or two. lol
