Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
No, With the fuel rail out and key on (do not try to start), there should be no gas come out. If so, that injector (s) is bad. Meaning it is stuck open.

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
Do you still have your stock PCM or did you send it to Intense for a flash?
As stated above, a negative LTFT means you have too much fuel for what the PCM wants to see from the closed loop status of the fueling.
If possible, put a stock tune in and see what it does. If in doubt about the O2 sensor and it's age / mileage, replace it.
Do you have a WB O2 installed?
Have you checked the FPR?

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
It would help if you updated your sig with a current mod list.
Reading through here, what levels of KR are you seeing? Using your Aeroforce, what is the timing when you see this KR?
Have you had any custom tuning other than the canned tune?

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
ok i will update mod list. today I pulled all the plugs, they all look golden brown. none are soaked as if it were rich. I reset the fuel trims today and at wot the ltft is at 0 with lore than .1 and less than 1deg of kr untill third gear it jumped up to 3 to 4deg very fast so I let off the gas. When just cruising the fuel trims just go negative. So the thing that really ticks me off is why I have kr with a 3.8 pulley. Everything I could check ends up fine, so what could be creating kr now. with my old settup I could run a 3.4 on a cool day with zero kr and no tune. Only thing diff now is gen v, n*, lq4 maf, egr evap delete, intense tune.

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
The problem here is you have a canned tune that only a couple people know what was changed and you do not have any logging abilities to see what the motor is actually doing with what is being commanded.
Also, 3* of KR on a shift is nothing to be extremely alarmed about, it could be picking up the transmission noise.
What does it do if you unplug the MAF and drive it around? It may idle funny and be stubborn at first while the PCM reverts to the stock tables.
How old is the O2 sensor?

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
Remember that by upgrading to the Gen V, you're moving the same amount of air with a larger pulley, as it's much more efficient than the Gen III.
Bye Bye:

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
myfirstbonni I agree a canned tune does suck in comparison to in the car or having a tuner, but I would guess that even though more efficient as 00beast said I doubt it's to efficient I can't run a stock 3.8 as the cars with gen v's run them no prob w/out headers and intake, and n* lq4. I do get a little at shift points and that I know is prob a bit false, but getting some before and in third gear I bet I could blow the motor just does'nt seem right. I talked to john today and he will be sending me another pcm and sounded like he will be asking brian his 2 cents as well. 02 is about 3 months old

Stock injectors? For some reason or other your o2 is telling the pcm you're running rich. If you have excessive knock, you very well could be lean. This is why a wideband is a good tool to have.

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
When getting into the mods, a WB is almost a must and some sort of data logging makes it a lot easier to troubleshoot.

Re: negative fuel trim pegged? kr help
yes stock injectors. and I agree an 02 would be great but at the tune of $200 seems pretty steep to read the air to fuel just to get a tune on such a basic settup.
As far as the o2 I did replace it early summer so not too long ago should I just replace it again?
