It is supposed to be done in 2 weeks. I feel pretty good about the body shop; they've been honest on deals in the past and they at least told me they don't bow down to Insurance Co. shortcuts.

Also, the new wheel is due to scuffing and the new tire because it was cut. They don't see any brake or suspension damage.

 That's great news!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you didn't have to do what the wife did a few years ago. She go hit in the ole green car (not her fault), value of the car at that time was $1835, insurance company was going to total the car 'cause damages were $1835. When she got through with them ( :bash: ), they were glad to fix it and be gone! - LMAO!!!!! That's one of several reasons I married her - she wasn't afraid to go toe to toe with anyone.

Please post pics of the progress, if you have time and the body shop will lwt you get close enough. - BC :)

I'm supposed to get the car back today. I'm fairly excited to get her back--the 4-banger rental hasn't been cutting it for the last 3wks.

This reminds me of the time my aunts Jeep went into the body shop and they gave her a nissan sentra as the loaner.

Now, me and her are both big people tall and heavy. I swear with the tow of us in there I think the thing was dragging on the ground. After she had it a couple days it started making slamming noises.

Well, idk if it was us or a pot hole of what but something in the front end blew out (maybe a shock). She said "serves them right for giving me this POS and we didn't even tell them" lol

Glad to hear its getting repaired! Looked like a pretty nasty hit to me and not sure what other components may have been affect. Be sure to post pictures when you get it back!! Would have been sad to see such a clean and well cared for Ei go to the scrapyard!

Based on KBB's values, thats 70% of the vehicles worth.

You must have had some really big puppy eyes.
I wonder if region had anything to do with it. These bonneville's hold a respectable price around here where im at, you can find deals here and there. Last summer is saw an 01 SLE with 175k on it selling on a lot for 8k and it sold too. just yesterday i saw a 90 SSE silver paint, black rag top(never seen this before?) garage kept little rust very minor fading on trunk lid spotless interior looks exactly like my 87's interior with only 70k for 2900

It looks absolutely excellent. I forgot how much get-up-and-go this thing has, after a month of driving the rental.
