can't wait to see this finished... gonna look awesome, i love the 2 tone, white on black look. what kind of paint do you guys use for painting interior pieces like that? just plastic safe spray paint? or is it something more specific? Been thinking of doing something like this on my 96. After i get the new engine in of course.

Carl used Krylon Fusion, I used SEM color coat, which is an elastomeric coating designed for re-dying interior plastics.
As a reference, here is a thread showing my interior painted. I will have some more, better (different), pics soon.

Word of warning though, make sure you really clean those vents!

Would alcohol be the best thing to clean them before painting? or is there something better, or is that not even necessary to use.

Paint thinner. It will remove any old protectants or anything from the plastic. Allowing the paint to adhere better.

Alcohol is for celebrating when you're done...Oh wait, wrong alcohol.

Anyways! Bulbs arrived! I am happy to say that the 2174 bulbs work fantastically. They are slightly bigger than our OEM bulbs for the display but only just. I'm so happy I have music back in my car. Only one last thing left that's bothering me. The heated seat light up. But that's gonna wait, I let a friend borrow the tools necessary for getting into the assembly. Anyways! PICS.
