I think if this were to happen to my car, I would just crawl inside while in blaze....nothing can replace the relationship my 05 SLE and I have created...

i used to have that relationship with my Fifth Avenue (Chrysler) but like a bad marriage she became a money pit and felt more and more like a dinosaur. that's where the Bonneville with its technological superiority came into play

At the end of the day, it's still just a car. I think I learned that best when I wrecked my 00 SSEi...

I think my car is a little different to me...This is only my third car...and the first car I actually went out and bought, and it took me FOUR months to find a 2005 SLE.
My first two cars were handed to me from my brother, both were winter beaters that he couldn't sell for $500. The first was a 92 Tempo with every electrical issue imaginable. The second was a 90 Sunbird which ran like a gem, but nothing fancy. So when I got my Bonneville, it was the first car I took pride in and enjoyed driving. And all the mods I have added to it since, just makes it that much harder to replace if it were to come. I have hopes of 300K miles, and would be awesome if this car was my weekend warrior in 30 years. My dad still has his 1967 Chevelle which he purchased brand new in the summer of 66!!
