I made it home safely. Had an uneventful trip although I was fighting sleep the whole way for some reason.

More pics. Again I am so, *dang*, tired. I WILL caption all of my pics in this thread tomorrow so that people know what the hell is going on in them.

Also, those of you who guessed the reason for my camera's demise to be a bit of sand are probably right after some online researching. Still turns on and takes pics but won't zoom. Guess I'm gonna have to send it off to the Canon repair center.

Yeah, but it's alright though...it's worth it enough to get it fixed and then it will be back to normal...

Alright, well I've added the captions. I also would like to add that out of the three SEBF meets I've attended this one was the best and most fun by far even though it was the least planned and most chaotic. Great times and great people! A big thanks goes out to Don for putting up with us and the chaos that comes with us for yet another year. Next year the meet is gonna be hosted somewhere else to give Don some relief.

Any clue where next year's meet will be? If gas isn't crazy, I'd love to get my LeSabre back down south to crash another Bonneville meet, lol.

Pretty sure it's still going to be in the Mims/Titusville area but it just won't be at Don's house again lol. I don't blame him, that's a lot to have to deal with.

Well for those who remember my camera saga, and haven't already heard...

Canon wanted $250 to repair my camera. That's almost what they cost new in stores, and a lot more than they cost if I shopped around online.

I ended up selling the camera to a friend who didn't care about zoom for $60 and bought a better camera (Fujifilm Finepix S1800) for $160. But then of course I went and bought $50 or more worth of accessories for it...



I'm pretty happy with it though. It takes better daylight and macro pictures, has almost twice the zoom (18x) and has built in exposure bracketing for HDR vs me having to do it myself with the Canon.
