Had this problem, swapped it with another used switch and never had any more problems with it.

So are you saying that unlike every other forum on the net the use of the "Search" function to find an existing thread instead of making a new one is frowned on?

It's all fine to search, and once you find what you are looking for you can make a new thread and link back to the old one. Sometimes after so long the OP may not even be around to even see it anymore. It just prevents confusion.

It helps declutter the forum a little bit.

We are not hugely active these days, and threads don't float down as quickly as they used to. Linking back to old threads helps keep things more linear and contemporary.

I'm with this guy, it's not necessarily to get the OP's attention it's trying to find a solution to a problem. Just because the original poster doesn't see it doesn't make the information less available. I like seeing one thread with a problem and a solution rather than 12 different problem threads and only one may have a solution. :poke:

My Tow/Haul button has been acting similarly on my truck recently. I may have to take it apart or replace it. Kinda bugs me when buttons don't work, I feel your pain.

And you can't always assume the original poster won't see it. :)

I've also never been a fan of starting new threads over adding to previous discussions. Since I sold my Bonnie I'm not here much anymore, but I am still subscribed to some posts, particularly those that I started. FWIW, I never did get my reset button to work in the end. The solution, as one other mentioned here, may just be to get a new switch. I never did that because frankly I never got a straight answer on what could be the cause. The switch electronics look pretty basic and foolproof, but they're apparently not fail proof.

Apparently I did not find the problem on mine. It's back, so I guess I'm gonna have to pull the switches out and take a look. Doesn't seem to be many replacements out there either :(

In the commercials, they say you should notify your doctor it lasts for more than 4 hours.

I've made this argument here many times to no avail. Anowhere else it's just the opposite. Don't start a new thread if there's an existing one. It clutters the forum. Here, apparently, using an existing thread clutters the forum.

I'm having a similar issue and a search brought up this thread. Might be informative to anyone new having a similar issue. Especially since it seems near impossible to get any answers now days. Could take months to get the same info all over again.
