Can somebody please help with this headache of an install??

This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

You might be right, I'm looking into what is available, if anything.

I just got an email from sonic and I found the right harness, now to go to the stereo shop and see if they have it and will do an exchange for me! Thanks again to you guys for all your help!

P.S. what are the RCA cables for on this harness?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_129 ... OS-09.html

Will I need to buy more RCA cable and run them to the bose amp?

hey dude...
i didnt read this whole thread...
but i had the same problem as yours.. and the harnesses made by PAC and Metra are wired for bose i think.. Monsoon is different (i even doubt its gonnna work for bose if thats what you;re running)

this is my install.. took me like a month to figure this out...
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11842&hilit=install

i can help you with this install if you need more info PM me.

Samz

Edited: what do you have? Bose or Monsoon?
and no you will not need any extra RCA.. the GMOS-09 is enough
yet.. the GMOS-09 might not work.. you will have to cut one of the wires

I have a Bose, so either way will I need a GMOS-09?, that's what sonic told me to get.

you have to hook up the amplifier turn on wire from the HU to the pink (i think) wire going into the bose amp, it will NEVER turn on the amp until you do, I simply ran the extra wire back to the trunk and hooked it up.

I do not have experience with the GMOS-09 I have the PAC C2R-GM32R

why run an extra wire though? that was is connected to the dock n lock harness...

i have a monsoon amp (i know they are not the same but similar in a way), the pac and metra harness do have a remote wire but needs a little modification

when i did mine with the pac harness it didn't have a remote wire hookup. I followed a write up on the old bonneville club to make it work, there could be newer knowledge since I installed mine. I just know how I made mine work and that it works flawlessly.

Ok, I got the GMOS-09, the wiring seems to fit together nicely... but I can't figured out which wire is the remote wire for the amp from my HU, I have a blue/white, and a blue wire, the instruction manual doesn't say which is which, so some help? please

P.S. The wires came wrapped in stickers, the blue/white one said "P.Cont" and the blue one said "Ant. Cont."

according to kenwoods website you want to use the blue/white wire, the blue one is not supposed to be used

Well i got everything working, now I have to cut the dash cavity to fit the HU and make sure all the connections are good, and I realized how sound proof and solid my car is too... I barely heard or saw the bass in my trunk while standing outside of the car.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you, cuz I brought it to the local stereo shop and they rigged it up for me... any tips on how to get it all to fit in the dash? like where to stuff the black box and the cables and things like that.

if you can ask that would be great, lots of members have hard time getting their aftermarket toys to work when they have a factory amplified system.. it could help someone later

as for the dash
this is my install
