I enabled shift torque reduction. Helps more than it hurts.

If I set my 1-2 shift to 6000 I could possibly get over 6300rpm in that shift... is that safe?

And set 2-3 to 5950 just to see if shifting at into third at the track helps?

Oh by the way...I'll need to put my 3.4 on in this weather after watching today's scan. :wink:

What are your shift times set at? I set all mine to .01 and that way it won't climb much higher than 6150 or max 6200

And yeah, so far I've found that shifting into third may not be detrimenal and may save your setup in the long run. The best thing to do is dyno and see where your power starts to fall off, but I can feel mine stop building at abou 6200-6300. So if you are holding all the way to 6400 it might not be helping you anyway if you are leaving the power at the top. Just try and see what works or get on a dyno to really map it out.

I'll mess with that 2-3 shift, but 6000rpm feels better than 5950.

However I did try your suggestion for 6000rpm for the 1-2 shift and wow man thanks! That feels a lot more fluid. I think I was shifting into 2nd too soon.

As for shift times I'm pretty much using what Intense gave me. Maybe you can explain this table to me, but I fear that lowering the cell values too much can hurt my transmission (or cause KR) because its trying to shift faster than possible.

So currently my 1-2 shift times are .200 for 280tq and up. My 2-3 shift times are .150 for 320tq and up.

EDIT: Put the 3.4 on, it helped KR a lot and it feels stronger because timing isn't being pulled.

Another thought: wouldn't a smaller pulley with less timing yield quicker launches with the increased low end torque? Would that make up for the loss of power in the upper rpm range?

EDIT: I get 8-9psi of boost with a 3.4, not bad.
