Clean record, i have never had a a ticket before, not even a parking ticket(looks positive on my record). First time i have ever been pulled over as well. I told my lawyer the entire story very detailed, i printed pictures of the off ramp from google map(as somebody had mentioned). My lawyer is a highway traffic act specialist, this is what he does for a living. Other then that my lawyer is doing all the dirty work, as soon as he checked my record he said the charges would be dropped no problem.

I'm pretty sure you would have been able to convince a judge in traffic court, and have saved the lawyers fees. I guess it all depends on how much your time is worth. In he end, you have saved some money, a trip to court and your record.
