Drove 15 miles thru 9 inches of snow without my snow tires. Took those off a little too soon. Still did better on hills than a few other cars though and semis were getting stuck on off ramps everywhere.

No snow for us today! Just lots of rain.

See, I said it on the last page! I still don't trust this weather! Snow is still hanging around.
Although not today, Saturday I did rotors and pads on all 4 corners of the Bonneville, as this was dangerously needed (severely warped rotors and glazed front pads). Also fixed the wire on my front passenger wheel, so I now have ABS again after 3 years.
Yesterday, I practiced using some polishes on the hood of the Bonneville and side of the LeSabre. Rained today, so it seemed like a waste.

Yesterday I did a pan drop, installed a shift kit, and added some fresh fluid. Tried changing the trans lines, fought like hell to get the c clips off only to find out my new ones from Rock Auto would not fit. After copious amounts of swearing and throwing things I had to put the old leaky ones back on. Hopefully I can get some that will fit and get swapped next weekend. Lesson for you all: DO NOT BUY TRANS LINES FROM ROCK AUTO! Now today I get to make a nasty phone call and find out a return policy.

Also, I got a pretty nasty bump on my head this weekend. While under the hood Saturday, the lift supports failed. No warning.
Ouch.

Yesterday gave the Soul a pretty deep interior detail, shampood all the seats and carpets and cleaned all the vinyl up pretty good, and gave it it's first hand wash since I bought it. Today, drove it to work.

Pressure washed the carpet yesterday, it's drying in the basement now. The original carpet was done already but was sold off with the other LSS. This one is much nicer!

Setting up a pick up time for the motor for Chicken Guts.

Yesterday I re-installed interior carpets and trim, tidied up some wiring under the dash, and gave the car its first wash in quite a while. Assessing sub box mounting options today, and wheel polishing.

Put my replacement ballasts in the SSEi. And yesterday put about 500 miles on it, moved the GXP up north.

Installed my new trans lines. It was a struggle and a half but I got it! The ones from the dealer fit perfectly. Biggest problem was getting the clip off and back on the lower line at the radiator. Feeling pretty accomplished and proud after that feat. Hopefully that's the last time they will ever need to be done!

I did the brakes on the 96 gtp, chased down a couple small exhaust leaks and fixed a squeak on the 04. (Loose rattle clip). Also washed both cars with the pressure washer.

No GXP for awhile... Well, I guess I still haven't even really got a chance to get my G8 out. Only once this season so far.
I did a lot of stuff this past weekend to the Bonneville: new hood lift supports (one of my originals failed last weekend), removed old Pontiac Bonneville Club decals (white) and put new ones on (etched glass), removed the Infinity decal on my rear window, and replaced it with an Intense decal, put a black overlay on the front arrowhead, used the urethane and mineral spirits trick on my headlights (enjoyed it so much that I also did the headlights on my mom's 97 LeSabre, which were worse than mine), installed a GXP spoiler (while fixing rust spots where the original spoiler was), debadged (lots of old adhesive removal), vacuumed the interior, dusted (no detail yet), and cleaned and removed all the winter gunk from my floor mats.
I am so sore today.

Replaced the 00 MAP sensor. Seems to be running better with no KR now.
Low input voltage and it was showing 0 vac sometimes.

Install a Group 78 optima battery, with venting to outside. Will post pics when I can.

I washed Black Betty with the last of my soap from last year and was surprised to see how good she looked. She looks great honestly. I checked my ATF for the first time since the fluid change and it's at the very bottom of the crosshatch so I'm hoping to get in one more bottle of Lucas.

How much Lucas do you have in there? Too much and the fluid is going to be too viscous, and you're going to have low pressure issues. The trans is designed for very low viscosity ATF, not the thick goopy Lucas...
