Looking good Ryan! I will definitely be getting those when brake time comes. The front rotors have a very slight warp that I don't even notice most of the time. For as cheap as they are at brakemotive I'm just going to do all 4 rotors and pads. Drilled and slotted look better anyways ;) :btruestory: I have a ball joint on the front driver with a little play too so I should do the new control arms soon too. What did you use for sway bar end links? Glad to hear you like the tires, I am loving the Blizzak WS-70s so far also. Not a snow covered hill I haven't been able to conquer yet and stopping and accelerating on ice and snow is worlds better too.

Hosed it down and scrubbed it with dawn dish soap.... a lot. Rinsed then let dry. Had to repeat in a couple spots, but overall it came out very good.

I think it's about time for a little update on this!

I have had a good fender and door for this car for about five months now, finally getting around to getting it prepped and installed to replace the beat up fender from when it wasn't in my direct care...

The fender I started with is off the '05 GXP I picked up back in December, the paint of course is trashed.

Removed the pin stripe, paint still looking like crap.

I tried the toughest compound I have and it just didn't cut it for what I wanted, so I wetsanded with 2000 then hit it with Menzerna Powergloss compound twice, HD Cut, then HD polish.

Just some cool shots... because I can :booty2:

Ok, enough of that nonsense

On to the old fender... yuck!!!

Old on top, new on bottom

Fender go bye bye!

Now that looks much nicer!

Last one is a crappy one, but it will have to do for now :(

I am sure you noticed that the rocker panel trim is not on yet, that will come tomorrow and the door replacement will also be soon!

Great work bringing that paint back to life, it looks amazing. Will be a very nice car when you get it finished up.

I honestly don't know how far I will take it from here, I love the car but there is a definite losing battle with rust going on with it right now. The gas door rot is getting horrible and when I removed the rocker trim I found that the rockers are just about rotted right out :( 260,000 miles on it and it runs *dang* good so I hate to move on, but it's clock is definitely ticking.

Sad to hear that the rust is taking her slowly... But the fender sure made it look better! Amazing job on the wetsanding Ryan, looks fantastic.

Nice job on that Ryan! You have a way of making black look almost invisible!

Here in a couple of years, I need to heavily tackle the rust on mine before it starts taking over.
