I understand your point, and I could actually just take one of the several cassette pickups I got with various XM Radio heads and plug it into the deck and my BlackBerry or my other MP3 player. That certainly would be a far sight easier.

Your car has XM, right? I see the antenna.

Could also add the aux-in port. Look that up using the search function on here.

Yes, it does have XM. I'll check that out.

Had the opportunity to use the high beams tonight on the way home from work. They are definitely whiter than the lows/fogs. I think the lows and fogs need aiming too. Is there any trick to knowing where they should be pointing? Any kind of gauge?

Definitely considering HID for the lows/fogs. Saw some Promax on Amazon that got good reviews. Anyone using those?

I just park the vehicle on a level surface and shine them at a wall or garage door or something, get them level and where I want them, then drive around and see if they're where I want them. Basically trial and error.

I just don't want to get them too high, so that people are flashing me to lower my low beams. :ack:

Cool. Thanks. Now all I have to do is find a vertical wall on a level surface with 25' of space. Not as easy as it seems. It was hard enough finding an empty parking lot to do compass calibrating donuts. :laughing3:

Daniel Stern's site is an endless plethora of lighting information. I suggest that any Honda owner read this before screwing around with his lights!

Start with the For Sale section of this forum. You can post it in the Wanted section as well. Otherwise, you could also try junkyards, or if you want new, gmpartsdirect.com or one of the other online parts sites.

Hi. My name is Joey. I just purchased a '04 Bonneville GXP. Love it so far. I'm hoping that you all might be able to help me out with some links to the following:

Is there a way to disable the DRL and drive with the Fog Lights on only?

I appreciate it.

First off, Welcome!!

I believe on the GXP all you have to do is locate the DRL relay in the underhood fusebox and remove it. The fog lights stay on all the time, even when you shut the car off, unless you turn them off manually.

As mentioned. Simply remove the relay.

Yes, they're on all the time if you leave the button on.

Well, they turn off when you shut the car off, but turn back on when you turn the car back on, lol.

Actually, I re-read your post Joey and 00Beast didn't add this point, so I will.

Even if you disable your DRL's, it won't disable your twilight sentinel feature (I.E. the auto headlights). So if you're driving around at dusk, or cloudy, etc, and want only your fogs on, you need to turn your light switch on to the parking light setting to override the auto headlights.

If you're a crafty electronics person, a permenant fix to disable the twilight sentinel feature would be to figure out what resistance resistor the little ambient light sensor located up in the center of the dash (in the defroster vent area) takes. I tried using the same resistance that GM trucks use to override this feature to no avail. I seem to recall it worked in physically shutting off the headlights, but turned on all my dash lighting permenantly, or something along those lines. So it's system is a little more complicated than the trucks.

Ok thanks for extra Tip! I'm actually not "crafty" at all!!!! I'm more like the guy who pays to have it done for them.!!! LoL!
But Yeah I'm more concerened that when it's a nice sunny day out there, I don't want the darn headlights on with the fog lights! Car looks so much better with just fog lights IMO.
