Body slamming your door is part of the daily morning startup ritual of a 1st gen W-body in the winter time. Spring rituals consist of readjusting your outside door handle rods. It's even worse if you have a coupe because the handles break like plastic knives.

I don't miss that at all. It's so nice to have a 2nd gen.

We are on replacement handle #3 on the 96 GTP, speaking of which the battery was dead in it today, now it's on the charger.

Re-alaigned the rear door I replaced a while back, after I found it had been leaking. Sunday I ignored my back and proceeded to rip out everything down to the floor, replacing only the drivers seat (I had to go get beer) and it has been like that all week while drying out. The last month here in Victoria has been almost continuous rain!

Filled the gas tank and drove it to work.

The list of things to do is growing though. Hopefully this weekend she can get some lovin' :b3some:

change plugs
change oil and send sample
eliminate belt slip
fill washer fluid
wash and detail

Last but not least, a couple dry runs and check the tune and maybe hit the track on Sunday.

For the 94 Goose, I replaced all six plugs with new TR55 NGK Iridiums.
I replaced the PCV valve in the supercharger.
I replaced a couple of rotten vacuum hoses too.

Next to be done are front brake discs/calipers/hoses, engine oil/filter change, trani fluid/filter change and coolant flush/fill.

The 00 SilverBullet will emerge from its cocoon in less than a month.... :bwoohoo:
Nothing really needs to be done maintenance wise...

Changed the oil on Saturday and hit the track today. She still running where it was last year. Need a set of slicks, 2.4 second 60' times are killing me.

Changed the oil yesterday and finally installed my FWI! Thoroughly enjoying my new found whine. Also realized it will be time for front brakes soon and a front driver shock, the boot is torn up and the top mount/ bearing seems to move alot when I jack up and lower the car. This weeks threat of sh*t weather again made me hold off on removing my snow tires just yet.

Fixed the header leak on the SSEi. As Booze called it a "diesel demod".

So this is technically yesterday but I thought I'd leave this here for everyone's pondering...

Penny achieved 45 MPG yesterday. I traveled 66 miles using 1.443 gallons. I filled up at an Oasis, merged down hill and set cruise at 54 MPH as per my Aeroforce. Also had some nasty tailwinds and absolutely zero traffic.

Is that even feasible?

Diesel demod - I like it!

Carl, there were times I pulled off close to 40mpg in my LeSabre years ago when I was going back and forth for school, and that was traveling through the foothills of SE Ohio.

For me, this all happened Saturday, but I finally managed to replace those plastic bulb lenses for my for my rear license plate and upgraded the LED's. So much more light output. Also did some minor interior cosmetic changes.

I thought it was too cold to work on the header.

This was yesterday but I didn't have a chance to post.
I did the LIM gaskets (thanks Matt for figuring out how to unplug the injectors) and painted the supercharger on the GTP. Sorry for the crappy pics, I was tired and couldn't hold the phone still.

I power washed the engine today, it doesn't look so dirty anymore.

It was too windy Sunday. I stopped giving a *fook* Monday morning and sucked it up even though it was in the 20s.

I tried buffing out the peel on the trunk lid to no avail and one of my newly replaced forg lights is not working so I took a look at it and diagnosed bad wiring on the passenger side just like there was before I repaired the drivers side. I'm really not a fan of this bulb setup. I hated it on my Alero HID kit too. I wish these were the typical 9006 style twist in bulbs. Oh well, I'll fix it tomorrow.

Also, I helped my buddy drop his radiator and replace his water pump on his 2001 Alero 6 speed swap. We are still waiting for ups to deliver the new radiator tomorrow. The dummy was texting and hit a complete semi tire with wheel on the highway!

Flushed and replaced coolant as well as both rad hoses for the 94 Goose.
100% good for 5 years. :)
