I did a quick vacuum of the interior this morning. I had second thoughts about pulling the interior because it really didn't need it. However, I did it basically just to say I did it.

Seats out

I was surprised to find this... someone took off all the foam padding from the passenger side front carpet.

and replaced it with this... they must have had a water issue and didn't think the foam would dry out.

instead of cleaning it, I just pulled a set of carpet off the shelf so I didn't have to wait for it to dry. I think its in better shape anyways.

And everything went back together.

Nice goin' Andrew. What will be the price on this when it hits the market?

Probably gonna start at $4500.

I'm also leaning to getting the hood painted, but might list it before then. I'd take final pics today, but its going to be raining/misting all day.

That cleaned up nice. You're taking care of the Herpisyphilitis on the hood?

I don't know man, I think I might let the hood herp slide. Unless of course you can get a screaming deal on the repair. I'm just not sure you'd get it all back in the sale(but you would know better than I).

Ya I think I am going to get it fixed... $175 to get the hood repainted

Scheduled to have the hood painted on Monday... its a no-brainer for $175.

I took the car out for a road test yesterday and noticed that the driver wheel bearing was humming. I put the car up on jack stands and ran it in gear for a while. Then I noticed that the axle boot was leaking some grease. It was probably only because of the extreme angle I had on it, but I decided to replace it anyways.

Also put new brake pads on it all around... drives great now.

That's a hell of a deal on the hood repaint. You can't even cover materials for that.

That's what my axle boot did a few years ago at Woodburn. I see the sway bar bushings also need replacing.
That must be cost for the hood repaint. It would cost about $400 up here.

I saw the sway bar bushing as well, however I didn't replace it as they are still doing their job. If I start replacing every little component, I won't make any money. If it were my own car it would be different.

Yes that is cost for the hood... gotta love the landlord/bodyshop relationship.

Hey Andrew,

I have the bushings I pulled from the GXP last week. They are in better shape than what you have there. If you want them let me know and I'll send them up to you.

I know this page is full of pictures already.. but I thought I'd add some more.

I wetsanded and polished one of the original headlights that came off the car. It turned out just as good as the new ones I put on!

Oh.... and the hood went in today to be painted instead of Monday. It will be done when I get back from the weekend.

Did you use the PC to polish this time? I use the PC with a 4" orange pad and SIP. Works great.

Surprised he didn't strip it down to bare metal to remove the problematic primer that causes the herpes in the first place.
