Just need to pull the seats so that I can really see what's happening. The carpeting is still out of it. Like I said, I'm 99% sure it's not coming from the roof, so it's just a matter of doing like you said, getting in it, having her flood it and watch for it.

Remember, I'll be out there early August, if you want to hold off.

:) Thought you were only coming for a wedding then taking off?

Thanks, but it'll be good for the wife to help out. I may even let her drive it so I can see what the water does once it's in the car. :???: We went somewhere over the weekend and I said, "Let's take my car" (we usually take her SUV in case we pick something up we need to put in the back). She got in and we headed out and we realized it was only the second time she'd ridden in it since I got it in February! ;)

I just want to get the leak behind me so I can get the carpets back in it. Tired of all the road noise.

It will be pretty whirlwind.

I understand. I felt the same when I was trying to find mine.

Come to think of it, my Wife has only been in mine a handful of times too. Believe it or not, she isn't comofrtable in the seats (so she claims), which befuddles me.

What a great thread! I just tore out all my interior and seats carpet etc to fix the leak I have in the right front sunroof drain. I fixed the leak let the carpet dry now I'm trying to get it back together.

I have a problem with the shifter/key. I think there is something wrong with the cable that goes from the shifter to the key. I cannot pull out the key unless the cable is unhooked. It is either out of adjustment or I screwed something up. HELP!

ok I feel stupid. I guess you needed to pull the white plastic assembly out and now it works great! It is on a ratchet type system if that makes sense.

Yeah it is the cable that comes out of the ignition switch. I had to pull up the clip that locks the cable into position, more or less adjust the cable and lock down the clip.

But a worse problem. The clip that attaches the cable to the shifter broke. What can I do to replace/fix it?

Bvill_GXP wrote:Mine did that and i found some info on this site that the sunroof drain holes could be stopped up!!! So i took a air hose and blow out all 4 corners... and it hasn't leaked since then!!!

This is also what I did.. fixed it right up. But you do have to take down the headliner, which isn't bad at all.. but now since my sunroof HAD leaked before, the bottom of my carpet in the rear is completely soaked and has been for months.. it wont dry up!!! any suggestions on what I should do without taking my carpet out of the car? Please PM me.

i just held it up with a 2x4 and ran a small fan and the blower side of a vacuum under it for awhile.. worked like a charm, and didnt have to take carpet out! ;)

Pete, the aluminized squares are sound/vibration damping. Ypu could use heat to peal them up and find a dynamat bulk pack on ebay and apply it anywhere the metal resonates when you knock on it. Doesnt really pay to cover the floor, especially where its already pretty solid. Wheel wells and inside the door skins make a huge difference in road noise. If you want to go a step further in quieting the interior you can apply jute carpet padding for more silencing. Ive only got damping at the moment but soon i plan an interior renovation and ill complete the soundproofing and hopefully add some custom touches.
