Am I being assumptuous on having the Thursday DINNER at Manchurian Grill followed by the traditional on-ramp full throttle romp, or do people was to warp tradition and have it somewhere else like the China Buffet? The big advantage to the Manchurian is the privacy for group reservation as large as we usually have +30.
The food is really up to the individual how he/she adds to the plate. I quite like it. Other(s) have ralphed.

At Woodburn traction and 60 foot times seem to be better, maybe because it's warmer due to daylight and also better track prep. However, Portland International does run at night and the cars will have a bit more power due to cooler air temps. For bracket racing I would rather run at Woodburn, times are more consistent there. At PIR I've had nights where I would dial in and then the car would have a freakish run and be .2 seconds faster. It is a bit cheaper to race at PIR, but it may end up being the same cost due to the longer distance to drive.

myfirstbonnie wrote:The GP club is planning their BSB on the June 26th at PIR. It looks like we will be racing ourselves this year. I am going to find out if they are going to have anyone racing with us.
It looks like a few of the Portland guys will race at Woodburn Saturday but not all.

At ths point I can't get a straight answer from my Wife to see when she wants to go to Oregon. shewants to spend 30 days in Oregon this summer and I can't take that much time off work.

Someone in the pdx clubmentioned that their BSB and the Chevy Showdown are 30 days apart.. to bad I can't do both.. or I would.

I'm thinking of taking some time to come up for this. I'm not 100% yet. I have to see about work. Wife and I were talking about doing a vaca this year. I don't think to her this would qualify. :D

The first Meet we attended was 1/2 of a two week West Coast Oregon family vacation tour. Your wife will love it!

Come on over! It's much cooler in Oregon compared to Arizona. About 20F cooler and that's what the SC likes.

My passport should be in my hands by the end of June. At that point in time I will search for accomodations. I don't know if I want to tent this year or grab a hotel. What car I'm taking is to be determined. G8 could use a good highway cruise, the Bonny could use a week parked inside my garage.

I really don't know if its up for the drive haha. I'd Hate to have a problem half way then have to pay to have it fixed. On a tight time schedual this year too.

OK, why don't we just call this a Pontiac Meet and I'll drive my Firebird down. I've never run it on a 1/4 mile track and I'm curious to see what it'll do.
I don't think it will do as well as the G8 but it might surprise me.

Laura doesn't want me to take it cause it doesn't have A/C.
.......but with the luck I've been having lately, it'll probably rain like last year.

If I lived as close as you do Matt I would in a heartbeat but I have to think about cost.
The Ferry cost per vehicle is $100 both ways and it's 500 miles each way.

I still have 7 weeks to decide.

So, just putting it out there, but now that I've got some dough rolling in, does any of the midwest/east coast guys need a navigator? I'll split the gas 50/50, of course
