Re: Affordable accumulator
Have the brake system codes been pulled to get an idea of what the EBCM may see as the problem?

Re: Affordable accumulator
IIRC the codes have to be pulled by the dealer for the abs system. It is just the engine coeds that are pulled from the jumper method.

iirc = if I remember correctly
Here is a link to the dictionary http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... =39&t=1662
I think that is what you will need. I don't have the ABS on my 89, but I know quite a few have done away with it and gone back to the standard system.

Re: Affordable accumulator
By that do you mean converted over to a vacuum boost system and eliminated the abs all together.myfirstbonnie wrote: but I know quite a few have done away with it and gone back to the standard system.

Re: Affordable accumulator
Yes, that is what quite a few have done due to the cost of parts.
Re: Affordable accumulator
I have a Teves unit that worked fine when I pulled it from my 89SSE. Those suckers are heavy though and would probably cost a mint to post as I live in Canada.
