Tranny swap possible??

Post by dc66canada »

Here's the deal...I have my 95' Bonneville SSE, either flex plate or torque converter is f-cked. Will the transmission off a 2000 GTP fit my 95' Bonneville SSE? Any knowledgeable input will be greatly appreciated!!

No it won't unless you do and OBD2 swap.
Your 4t60e controls pressure by vacuum and the 00 GP 4t65 controls it electronically.

I wouldn't take it on if you've never done similar.

For the time and parts you're better off finding a used trans.

Hmmm...I have a complete 2000 gtp to use for parts...might have to do some research to see what the swap all entails!
