New to site, old to 3800's

Post by mrbear3800 »

Greetings everyone. I recently began searching for info on the dreaded UIM failures and LIM gasket failures and stumbled upon this site. I'm a Buick man going way back. "mrbear3800" goes way back and I still use it for other forums as a tribute to my old cars. My first was an 89 2 door Lesabre bought in 1995. The next was a 1993 Lesabre, then a 90 Lesabre and finally my wife's old 1999 Lesabre. We currently do not have a Buick or 3800 powered car in our lineup but my parent's 03 Lesabre is due for the intake job.

I defected to Fords when I bought a 95 Grand Marquis and when the wife traded in the Lesabre and we got an 07 Focus. It's been a love hate relationship with my car and I may switch back to some sort of GM product at some point, preferably a Park Ave Ultra or even a V-8 Bonneville (or is that the Grand Prix with the V-8??). I wasn't too happy with her 99 as it had constant problems, including a total failure of the UIM, stranding me....lol...

Anyhow, great site here and hello again.

welcome!

btw, both the bonneville and the grand prix have a V8 option (the bonneville has the 4.6L V8, and the grand prix has the ls-4 (5.3L) )

Yeah the Guy Above has a Ford Ranger...

We tend to have other makes at our meets.... It wouldn't be right if we didn't have a Ford at a Pontiac Bonneville Meet... Its almost a requirement...LOL

Welcome to the forum
