clean player message 2003 bonneville

I tried a cleaner in mine and i still get message...cassette player works fine...

I ignored it for 4.5 years, and it worked perfectly fine (never even ran a tape cleaner in it). I think that may need reset, not sure, since I never did it. Might want to check the owner's manual.

Others mine ring in on this in a bit on what needs done. I ultimately solved that message by replacing the headunit (which I did not find as a fun or easy job) with an aftermarket.

I think you hold eject for 10 seconds to reset.

Hold eject and the message will disappear until it registers 50 hours again IIRC.

if you hold down the eject button it clears message..that was it.
