Hello all. My name's Dan. I just recently moved from Lansing, MI down to Mobile, AL.

I recently bought an '02 SSEi as my new DD. The PO had put a lot of time and money into this car, so I plan to fix the few remaining pieces and keep the car as is. ZZP built and tuned the new drivetrain, which has about 9k miles on it, while the body is around 131k.

I've been poking around the forum and came across the 2000+ common issues thread and found answers to a few questions except one: could someone please provide me with a link or detailed description on how to "callibrate" the sunroof motor so that the glass rests flush with the roof?

Rad. Thanks guys! For now I got it adjusted with the torx screws. Are these moonroofs supposed to pop up into a vent position, or do they just slide open/closed?

I'll upload some pics after a wash this weekend.

I can't answer that one. Hopefully someone that knows will respond. - BC

They do pop up into vent mode. You have to tilt the switch like you want the glass to open.

^^ I never would have guessed the switch did that. Thanks for the tip.

New house, new ride. I plan on removing the louvres and the hood scoops as they serve no purpose. The headlights need to be cleared, and the tails need to be buffed and resealed. I'm not too big on these wheels either. On the inside, I've got a severe case of saggy headliner and sun visors.

I'd say someone definitely put some work and money into that engine.

I've got the build list and dyno sheets so I'll post up info when I can. The PO definitely didn't cut corners, I can tell you that. Nubuilder, what shots do you need? Ill take some during the next oil change.

DD tune is 338 hp/435ft lbs at 13psi

Basics of the P/O's build:
ZZP Rebuilt L67
ZZP CNC heads with 130# Crows, XPZ cam, Comp OE-R's, Rollmaster Double Set
3800 Performance M90 (honestly can't remember what pulley size was on there but close to 13 psi)
ZZP Stage II I/C
ZZP ported LIM
TOG headers > 3" exhaust by ZZP
N* TB and Thrasher intake
Billet fuel logs
MSD DIS 6+ / MSD Blaster packs / 3800 Pro wires
Thrasher shift kit

The rebuild thus far:
Going 0.020" over to clean up the cylinders
JE pistons (10:1)
Polish the crank, pean the L67 rods, remove balance shaft
Meziere flexplate
Work the heads over a bit more, Manley valves, PAC 150#'s, LS7 lifters, new XPZ (got chewed up when the lifter failed)
Will be getting a retune

Cosmetics/Other
Fix dents/dings/quarter panel herpes/paint issues
Clear headlights, possible S2k projector build
Replace de-lammed rear reflector
Headliners/sunvisors
Fix driver heated seat
Would love love love to see her on chrome GXP's

Definitely ready to have her back on the road but that's a matter of time and paychecks.

Quick question, any of you guys have experience with the Intense oil-restricted pushrods?

I've been down in Mobile a couple times to do work in the Austal ship yard.

It's a shame they closed The Shed in Mobile last year. Great BBQ. Only 40 mins to the original in Mississippi though.

I think a couple members here have used the INTENSE push rods with great success.

Build looks like it should move pretty quick.

Have you considered other projectors for the retrofit? The S2ks are amazing projectors, but there are many other options to consider, including Bixenons.

I never visited the Shed, but The Brick Pit is right up the road from that location.

I had been considering others but I came across a set of AP1's and AP2's for great prices, so I jumped on them.
