MAF code
MAF code
Hi all, my 2000 3800 started running badly, power surge etc, and the code P0102 showed up so I cleaned the MAF, but no improvement. I bought a new MAF, but still have the problem. It runs smoother with the MAF unplugged. No obvious wiring defects, so I am looking for some advice as to what else to check. Thanks Jim

Re: MAF code
What brand MAF did you use? 99% of the parts-store replacements are crap...

It is a Duralast, has a 1 year warranty. I also checked the air filter and no issue with that either. Hopefully the new maf is not bad

Re: MAF code
Go to a JY or hit up Andrew (harofreak00). You probably got a bad one from the store and most places do not accept returns on electronics, but you could try.
Re: MAF code
Any luck? I have that code and can't get it to run at all.
