windshield wipers and fluid

Post by jethro99 »

Hello, I have located to fuse boxes, one under the hood and one under my rear seat but I cant see in the diafram where the fuse or rely is for my wipers and fluid. Can anyone Please help and be specific where I can find it. Both wipers and washer fluid are not working so I believe its a fuse. Thanks in advance

Hello Archon
Thank-you for the reply. I have checked the diagram many times and I dont see where the wiper fuse is located in the fuse box and I'm not sure what you mean by, acsry fuse? Any additional input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does anyone think it could be the whole switch that the wipers and the washer fluid button both go into?

OK...looks like for your year they'll be labeled WSW and ACC.

I thought thats what you were thinking, so I changed the fuses, 15amp and 30amp, they both looked good but changed them anyways, didnt make a difference.
I am thinking it could be the switch on the sterring colmun???
If the wiper motor is toast, would that cause the washer not to work as well?
Thanks again for your input and time.

That's not what I was thinking...that's what GM was thinking. They changed the names of the fuses from 2000 to 2004. The switch is always a possibility. You'll have to do some circuit troubleshooting to find out. This is the electrical diagram for the wipers and washer.

This is power and ground.
