Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.
was sitting at home today before I have a doctor's appt. noticed it was really nice outside, so I went on out. after sitting on the front porch with my dog for 15 minutes, I decided to pull my Bonneville up the driveway and look around under the hood. originally it was just to see how to replace the fog light bulbs because I had ordered a set of Nokya Hyper Yellows for them. so I removed the headlight assemblies (and ripped out the plastic retainer for those ball sockets so I never have to deal with that again) to check it out. after about 10 minutes of under hood gazing I figured "eh, I got some time. lemme see if I can clear these headlights." so after about 20 minutes on the first one, I got it all apart and removed the amber reflector. originally I did not want to clear the lenses because I thought the amber looked good with the LBM paint. boy, was I wrong. I think it looks 10x better now. so I quickly got the 2nd assembly and finished it and had it back installed in about 10 minutes.
BEFORE (taken a few weeks ago)

Good luck finding the silverstar bulbs, as far as I know they've been discontinued....

yeah I found out about the Silverstar bulbs the hard way before I read your comment 00Beast. luckily I found a pair for $10 that can be shipped. the last pair the guy had available, brand new in original package. though they are the 3047 and not 3157. slight wattage difference (1.6 watts), practically impossible to notice. got those coming in this week along with my Nokya Hyper Yellow fog light bulbs, but I am also considering just getting some stealth chrome bulbs (http://bit.ly/OwCvY3) as well in case I dont like the color reflection of the Silverstars.
