2011/2012 headlamp upgrade
I've had these in 3-4 months now, and man, talk about a difference! They cost about the same as Silverstar Ultras and really light up the night. Supposed to last much longer, too.
I'd recommend them for anyone doing a headlamp replacement.

What bulbs, exactly, are you recommending?

These. They require about 15 seconds work with a Dremel or file to fit the sockets. It's worth it. 2012 are the high neams and 2011 the lows.Krenzy wrote:What bulbs, exactly, are you recommending?

The 9011/9012 HIR lamps, with a dremel alteration they can replace the 9005/9006 combo.

Nah, I paid about $110 all day, and that included the same type bulbs for the fog lamps.01bonneSC wrote:54 a piece? so $200 to do all 4? Geeeezze...

I swapped my neighbor my set of HIR bulbs in exchange for doing some work for us. He really likes them in his 06 GP on his 150 mile round trip commute. He didn't believe me that they would make such a difference until his first morning driving on them. He was amazed how much further he could see.

Re: 2011/2012 headlamp upgrade
I was just about to pull the trigger on a full set of these for the Zr2 when I read the lows don't have the dark coated tips anymore. Your not supposed to run these in reflectors that don't have the ring deflector in them. The bonnies do, the Zr2 doesn't. :(
