go buy a cheap heat gun (harbor Freight $10 bux... open the trunk and warm up the areas where the studs are but take your time... there is thick 2 sided tape on top of trunk lid and you may be able to re- use it

I used old guitar string and a pair of gloves to get thru the tape holding the SLE badges on the doors

ended up leaving the spoiler on, just made sure I was careful. Lots of work just to do the deck lid and the quarters next to it but what a shine there is now. I think I could easily spend a whole day buffing scuffs and scratches out which I will. The car has set out side it's entire life and who knows if it's been waxed? It is now!!

I will get a couple of pics up this weekend, did the hood yesterday and ran out of compound. I purchased a gallon jug this time and ended up being about 60% of the price if I had gone with quarts. It sure isnt cheap to do this, but it looks nice so far. Only 4 doors, 2 fenders and 2 quarter panels to go and if I'm brave enough I will tackle the bumpers and body moldings :dontknow:

Image and the trunk lid: bad angle, Image
