I bought my '05 not even 48 hours ago!!!!! I went into a Walgreens to get some photos printed (and for prides sake, I should mention that I do photography on the side, and would NEVER get anything printed at a Walmart that I actually cared about, but I just needed these prints for something short term). I was in there for 15 minutes TOPS. I came out, and somebody backed into me and cracked my rear bumper cover. I couldn't believe it - I actually went to my Facebook page from my phone because the photos are posted there too, just to see if I had missed that when I bought it. Nope, it was freshly done, within the last 15 minutes. There was a little old lady parked in the spot next to me, she said she saw a woman driving a van struggling to get out of her spot, in the space across where I was parked, and the van must have backed into me. NOT HAPPY!!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!!! So - any idea how much a bumper cover and paint and labor is gonna cost me, anybody? I'm guessing to buy one from a scrap yard would be best, and have the body shop paint it, right? I mean, unless I can find one in my color that is. Suggestions? Just SO not cool!!!!! If you hit someone, WAIT for them and own up to it and don't be a coward. Good grief.

They have it on surveillance camera, but A.) you can't make out the license plate, and B.) it's inconclusive as to whether she hit me on the video (but we all know she did). So that won't be of much help. I'm kinda on my own on this one it looks like.

I'd call the local police and ask them what to do, tell them it was captured on video.

Isn't your insurance going to pay for it? Walgreens has surveillance on their parking lot, you should have just called the cops, reported it as a hit and run, then let them find her for her insurance to pay up.

My deductible is HIGH. I went to the police station and filled out a report, put in there that there was an eyewitness and it was also on the surveillance camera footage. They'll do what they can. Believe it or not, with all the crazy personal stuff I've had going on this week, although this very much upsets it....it is NOT the worst thing that's happened this past week by far, unfortunately.
