1/4 mile time

Post by thelycan1121 »

i took my bonneville SSEI to the drag strip frday evenin, and ran it a couple times, my best time was 14:8 with 0.45 reaction time and was wondering if that was a good time for beeing a stock supercharger and my first time ever at a track, im new to all of this, i have owned pontiac sunfires but not a bonneville, its the best invesment i have ever came across, but yeah just wondering if that was a good time for a bonneville thats pushin 10 psi stock

Post a picture of your timeslip and we can critique it from there based on your split times.

That is VERY good for a stock 92. Your RT isn't great, but that's not a huge deal until you start doing actual racing, not just test and tune. What were your 60 foot and 1/8 mile times? Those are the important figures, not really your reaction time.

My first time at the 1/4 I was running 15.0's consisitently with a best of 14.8 with a very poor track prep and on a very hot day. I had an FWI, 3.4 pulley and a tune on a heavier but more powerful 03 Series II SSEi.
Bye Bye:

We need more info from your timeslip (just post a pic) and the track date/time you ran at in order to properly critique the run.

The facts:

1. This is an old post and shouldn't have been resurrected.
2. This member hasn't posted since June.
3. There isn't a 92 SSEi in our Forum's history that ever ran a 14.8 or better.
4. Stock 92's don't produce 10psi of boost.
5. There is no timeslip.
6. If this was verified by the slip and other required proof, it would be very apparent that the car is FAR from stock.
7. 92 SSEi's due to their age and OEM specs will run in the 16's all day long in stock, well-maintained form.

And finally:

8. Without a timeslip, if it smells like fish, it's probably fish. It's really not worth discussing until there's a slip posted, and other required proof of the run (borrowed slip, run in a different car, reposted from somewhere else, etc).

Wasn't you. 'Twas Alan. Please check the post date before replying. This is out of date, old news, and irrelevant to begin with.
