First off, dont use ALL CAPS. Its quite annoying.

Second, ask Harofreak00 if he has any, he has lots of used parts.

Third I would go with a Delco unit for the MAF. Seems to work the best/last the longest out of all the aftermarket ones.

You may wish to try cleaning it before replacing it. The MAF cleaner is usually under $10, and is worth trying. Also, which turbo system do you have? Is it something completely fabricated by yourself, or is it from intense racing? What other mods do you have? Also, is the Service Engine Soon light coming on at all?

1) I have cleaned the maf with maf cleaner, it cleaned up well. reinstalled only to have same problem. when disconnected engine ran smooth again
2) guess what "Supercharged" is correct. Factory. The current maf is original equipment as far as I know. Only has 2 set of numbers on it, no mfg name.
Was going to call dealer to see if i could get GM Parts#

I suggest getting a used OEM MAF sensor from a salvage yard. A used one will likely last longer than a new aftermarket one, and you should be able to get one for around $50. This same MAF sensor was also used on other GM vehicles, such as Grand Prix, so they are not hard to find.

There is much experience here at this club that proves that aftermarket MAF sensors (such as Dorman) that you get at AutoZone or Advance wind up needing to be replaced after a year or two. New OEM MAF sensors are way too expensive. The salvage yard solution is a good one.

Appreciate salvage yard idea.
Just came back from one of our largest in area. Unfortunately oldest gm cars in yard were '00, they had different set ups. But not giving up on that idea yet, there are other lots.

PM harofreak00, he's the resident bonneville used parts guy. Also check rockauto.com, and use the bonneville club discount code.

As stated before stay away from autozone, advance auto stuff. I would only go with ac delco for aftermarket MAF.

1)Will keep cking yards, thanx for GP suggestion gives me more to search for. But most cars seen today were '00 or prior wrong set-ups.
2) Advanced auto, if I can get it normally has AC Delco parts.
3) How does one secure Club discount code?
4) How long can I drive car with sensor disconnected?

The number you need to know is the AFMxxxx-05. That's the MAF you need, IIRC. PM harofreak00, he can have you one in a few days.

Just got off line with rockauto, I had entered all code #'s available: AFH50M-05, which is on my current MAF,, AC#2134337, which is # the dealer gave me, and a general search following steps outlined by rockauto. None of the sensors displayed looked like needed unit, majority had vacumline hookup, not needed, none had correct associated code #'s. Also item was refered to as MAP sensor ,no ability to search MAF sensor, although I feel thy're the same.
Got reply from harofreakoo is currently out of stock.
Best bet salvage yard
Thanx,
Will keep posted.

On Rock Auto, when you filter down and select Pontiac>2002>Bonneville> supercharged

look in the emission selection and it is right there, Mass airflow sensor. Their part number is 2134337 if you want to just search for it.
