sle brakes

Post by fbn8248 »

I have a 2000 SE and was looking at Rockauto and saw that they sell calipers with mounting bracket for SE and SLE with the SLE having about 1" bigger rotors. Is it possible to buy the caliper with brackets and rotors for a SLE to fit a SE? Would I need bigger wheels? Thanks for any input

it should fit, but i would go measure your current clearance. also if both your car and the upper models have the same size rims it should fit as well
Hoping to return to an H-Body soon!

I think you will need 17" rims.

It should be a direct fit, you'll need the caliper, bracket, new rotor and new pads. 16" rims will fit over them. You'd need 17's if you did GXP brakes.

And not just any 17's either. Most OE GM 17's (including swoopies and/or bent 5-spokes) should fit. Others may not clear the caliper especially if you use the stick-on style weights on the inside of the rim.
