Gonna update the original post on the first page with the most up-to-date info.

But I figured we could get a schedule together, and see what people want to actually do.


Friday:
- Arrivals & hangin' out around the house.
-Head to Richmond Dragway around 4:00pm. Gates open at 5:00, racing 6:00-10:00pm. $10 a person, $5 extra to race.

(Probably meeting others at Richmond, since you're all probably going to pass thru Richmond on your way here.)
-When ever I've gone to the track we usually just hit up McDonalds on our way out. You can get food at the track but it's expensive.


Saturday & Sunday are what needs to be decided. I assume some or most of you would be leaving Sunday if not Monday.

We have a garage and many tools, so IDK if anyone has any minor mods or any repairs they'd like to get done or have help with. I know some like to avoid doing work at a meet though.
Organizing a cruise is on the list. Not sure where exactly yet, probably down the parkway to Colonial Williamsburg or Yorktown and get some group pictures along the way.

I'm sure I'll be meeting up with you guys at the dragway Friday night ( a pretty short hop for me) The rest of the weekend I'm kind of open for. Doumars Drive-in is in downtown Norfolk as a possible destination...and of course there's always Virginia Beach area. Shore drive thru the park is pretty nice, but VA Beach might be kind of crowded in August on a weekend.

Ugly news...I've been moved from "B" shift to "A" shift at my job which means my rotation of days off has been altered. Where I was on long weekend for those dates I will now be slated for the 4-12 shift. I may still be able to get a vacation day for one of the days but not likely I'll be able to take the whole weekend. So either Friday night at the track or Saturday for whatever gets planned.

Boooo....boooo... that's our Girls Get-away Weekend and we're going to be partying elsewhere in the country. No kids allowed for that weekend... so sad to miss yours...

that sounds like a good weekend. If the store can stay staffed by then I'll be there. Everybody knows from the last two Fla. meets that my situation can change drastically in a week. The joys of owning and running a restaurant.

The track schedule has apparently changed up a bit, I was thinking about moving the dates out a weekend to the 19th-22nd. I'm hoping this isn't too much of an inconvenience.

... I want to do a track meet eventually, and a trip to the beach would be nice, but unfortunately im still a college student and have to work all the time to earn a buck. It seems that these meets are annual though, so maybe next year.

Being in college myself, I hear ya on the college student budget, I'm not sure how I've found the funds to make it to the meets I've made it to, but I've made it by, lol.
