How did you find pontiacbonnevilleclub

Post by SilverBird92/88 »

So, one day I watched a television ad for new sparkplugs and I then realized my car needed new sparkplugs. Then I went to the store and purchased new professional platnium sparkplugs. Being the kind of guy who thinks he knows everything and can do anything, I instantly opened the hood to install my new sparkplugs. It turns out that the sparkplugs go into the engine and not box with one through six written on it. My day was ruined because now I had forgotten to write down the correct firing order. So I scanned the interent looking for the website with all the answers, (thats how I found pontiacbonnevilleclub.com). Well the next day I called the mechanic for a quickfix, he installed new sparkplugs and told me the plantium spark-plugs will burn to hot for your engine. Anyway my Bonneville (or SilverBird) has an inproved with new plugs. So, next time you try to everything without really knowing anything, Stop a miniute and think about it.

Platinum plugs just don't agree with the waste-spark ignition system on our motors, particularly Bosch. Bosch O2 sensors are in the same crap category for us as well.

Platinum plugs should NEVER be used in a supercharged or Turbo application. Welcome to the Forum!

Found it with a search when I was wanting to swap the steering wheel on my 95 SSEi with a 96-99 style (not possible).

I don't even remember to be honest.. It was probably sometime around 2007. One of the earliest searches I did here was how to change the water pump on my 1997 SE, but i don't think that's how I discovered it.

Was told by a 3800 nut at the local Autozone to check this out for advice when I was having misfires on my '03 SSEI, turned out I needed a new coil, so I went ahead and put new wires and plugs also. Now she runs great!

I actually found the site before I bought my SSEi. I joined in July of 2002 after I bought it. I think there were about 50 members at the time.

I had found similar online clubs when I owned an Aurora and a Cadillac, so I when I got my Bonneville, I Googled 'Bonneville owners' or something similar and ended up here. Funny thing, I ended up not getting the Bonneville I was going to get, but found another one a week later.
