Aeroforce Scan Gauge and Emissions Testing.
I have an Aeroforce Scan Gauge in the bonne but aren't to familiar with it, will it give me the information needed to tell me if it will pass an emissions test before I go have the car tested? Or at least give me a good indication?

No, but do you have an SES light? It all depends on what they are looking for. Here in Oregon, there cannot be any SES lights and there are 5 systems they look at and it must pass 3. They don't tell us what they are looking at unless we fail. Some states do a physical inspection but not all do.
Check with your local inspection station and find out what they are looking for.

Depends on how the station does your testing. Do they just scan for codes? If so, as long as you don't have any current DTC's, you're fine IIRC. If they do a sniffer, then the only way to know is to have it sniffed.

Here they actually plug into the OBD II connector and the computer does a scan. OBD I are the only ones who get the sniffer.

Re: Aeroforce Scan Gauge and Emissions Testing.
When I purchased the Bonneville couple years ago, the SES light was not on and there were no codes stored yet it failed the emissions test. After about $500.00 in repairs it passed. Here they test, oxides of nitrogen (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO). Therefore, does the Aeroforce monitor or give indications of these levels so I can have an indication of whether it will fail before I test the Bonne?

No, the Aeroforce does not do emission testing.

Re: Aeroforce Scan Gauge and Emissions Testing.
The tests you're talking about involves sticking a "sniffer" in the tailpipe that measures those levels. Only way to know them is to have it sniffed.
