91 bonnie le parts interchangable with 88le? + lug nut quest
Ok , my 91 has the coil pack that looks like 1 solid pack, the coils on the 88 looks like the newer 3 individual coil design. even though there in different places in the engine bay and the 88 is a diff engine can i put the 88s coil pack on the 91? or am i better with what ive got? ill take picks this evening. the 88 is a parts car . also the 88 and 91 both have the locking lug nuts from the factory and i have the key to the 91 but the 88s is MIA. any ideas on how to get it off? i want to change the 91s 15" wheels and tires for the 88s 14s. there cheaper. also, one more thing, after running a while and driving around the top of the intake on the 91 gets really hot, is this normal? i just changed the oil this weekend and the car seems to run a bit cooler(the temp guage almost never gets past halfway between the first and second mark after the 100 deg mark) which it ran at about halfway before. is the normal? thanks in advance!!

If the locking lugs aren't too tight I've had luck with vice-grips.

If you want to update the 91's ICM you will not be able to use the 88's ICM... You will need an ICM from a 93-current 3800...

As an update , L27 started in 92 on the Buick Regal. It had the Delco coils and the metal not plastic L27 intake.

Holy crap. PLEASE Don't dig up old threads unless they're yours and you have an update.
