steering rack preload

steering rack preload

Anyone ever had to adjust this? I put in a new (or rebuilt) GM rack in this car during the rebuild, and now I have a definite clunk where the pinion gear meets the rack gear. Much louder when the car is warm. It's annoying. Mike.
