That's plenty far enough ahead that I can make sure I'm there. Now I have to decide who to bring the SSE or the SSEI. Either one could use some work. I would love to go to any of the activities listed since this will be my first meet. I would like to take the SSEI down the track if possible. Then hangin with you guys will just be a bonus. Oh and I promise to look a little harder before asking if we've already started talkin about a meet. :angry7:
1988 SSE-Gone but not forgotten.
2001 SSEI-304,572 miles, 3.5 Pulley, Intense PCM, Intense FWI Spectre filter, 160 tstat, ngk iridiums, belden wires, Silverstars-high and low beam, rebuilt tranny, shift kit, cooler, Dex VI fluid, replace the rear compressor and lines and level sensor, Monroe air shocks in back, FE5 struts and Moog strut mounts, Moog stabilizer bars, AC\Delco control arms.

2004 SLE-Stock, 195,000 miles,oldest son's baby now

2000 Ford Ranger-Stock, 352,000 hard, pizza delivery miles, new control arms (upper and lower), new(used) tranny

Well, if we're gonna have this meet happen, we need to hammer out all the details, who's staying where, and what's gonna happen when everyone's here. For the past few years us locals have pretty much played it by ear, but as more people have been showing up each year, that way of doing things won't quite work.

And I think this year, we need to come up with a paypal account for donations for grub, grog, and girls. Well, pick two of the three :)
2005 GXP - White Gold Pearl, no mods...yet.
2000 SSEi - Resurrection in progress. Built L67 w/L32 fuel rail, ported heads, and cam. Camaro front brake system, GXP cluster, and much more in planning.

Really??? Wow, if only I knew I could get female companionship for just a meager donation to a PayPal account! #-o

Wait a sec, I think I'd rather have food and booze.

BTW... 1/2 keg = 6.7 cases of beer and is a lot cheaper... plus you can't do THIS on a case of beer... I never got to go to college parties when I was of "college age"... so now I'm making up for it with my son's college friends.

Note to self....must bring twinkies and chambord. Marik can still serve them up off the grill with a machette.

The Super sized knife used to serve the Twinkies last year is still installed in a certain 93 Buick.. I made sure it was there when I had the Buick for a couple of weeks... So we are a go for roasted twinkies :ack: :beerchug:

I've been out of the party scene for a while, so I gotta ask... Tracy, what's with the inverted beer keg chug??? Trying to imitate a tap handle?

It's called a keg stand.
urbandictionary.com wrote: Keg Stand:
The act of doing a handstand on a keg while guzzling down a mass amount of said keg's contents through its hose-like dispenser. There is a common myth that by being positioned upside-down during the consumption of beer, the alcohol will reach the brain more quickly (this is anatomically possible given that the beer must reach the stomach first). The person performing such an act is typically physically supported by many intoxicated friends.

I hope I can make it again this year. Showing off the work done to the LeSabre would be fun.

Yea what he said! My son had told me that he had never done one and that was his goal for the night... next thing you know, everyone was being called up to do it...they didn't expect "momma seaver" to actually do it so naturally i did it.

It becomes a contest to see who can drink the longest...the crowd counts as you chug. it's not difficult to drink upside down, what was difficult was keeping up with the flow! I only made it to 6... some people went as long as 17...they do it a lot i think.

Well, time to give this thread a little bump after a month long hiatus.

Still planning on making it down as far as I can tell. I have a few small things I need to do before then, namely brakes. My truck seems to have warped it's front rotors. Nothing bad but it is a little annoying. Sucks cause I just put on $75 ceramic brake pads not that long ago.

So, guess it's time to start making plans? Two months away!
