SEBF 2010 Nov. 4-7
I was talking with Don today when it occurred to me that SEBF is coming up soonish...only four months away if we stick to the same dates as the last couple of years!
Just curious to see what a tentative plan might be...perhaps start throwing a few dates out there. I have no preference as long as it isn't Labor Day weekend or around Thanksgiving as I don't know when tests are in my classes yet.
Unless I'm flat broke, the truck flies to China or I am abducted by aliens, I plan on rolling down there in the Chevrollac again this year. Maybe another junkyard raid to do another conversion to my truck.
Thoughts?

Re: SEBF 2010?
I'm in! We might actually be able to get both Bonnies to make the trip since Brennan has a decent job that gives him more hours of work! But if it comes down to just one, Gwen has priority this year. She has unfinished business with SEBF, she needs to make the complete trip!
Anyway, I'll be pretty game for anydate, unless some sort of testing lands on a particular week. Don't think I'll find out until August though.

Re: SEBF 2010?
Don and I was dreading the day this would pop up
I'd honestly like to schedule it a little bit later than usual. Every year we pretty much do a little bit of something and a lot of nothing...and everyone wants a run down the track, but every time we have a meet, it's tied up.
I'm thinking maybe this year, if Don's okay with the idea, we could all go to KSC and maybe tour the launch complex, or the Brevard Zoo (for for the kiddies if anyone is bringing lil' spawns), or if anyone is bold enough, we all take a drive to International Drive in Orlando. And there is always Daytona.
Hopefully, the SSE will be completed by then...she's gotta long way to go!

Re: SEBF 2010?
Later than normal works great for me. Say after Halloween but before thanksgiving? Or after thanksgiving but before Xmas. With the noted exception of my sons first bday I have nothing on the calendar yet.

After Thanksgiving would be very bad. Finals start around that time.
I'm good with after Halloween but before Thanksgiving though.

Yep, those dates sound fine by me. Don't know my test schedule yet but at the very worst it will force me to arrive Friday night instead of Thursday afternoon.

Should work for us!
And my friend Matt, that came with us last year, is planning to move down to the Orlando area to go to school around September, so he'll be around for the meet too. He also may have a supercharged surprise, or at least he plans to.

Sounds good to me too. I will be taking a day or two off so I can enjoy myself. Mrs Lunchboxx might hang out a bit as well and bring the spawn. Can't wait.

Re: SEBF 2010?
Objective met. Now then....what to do??
Just about everything we've done up to this year has been relatively cheap. But this year, we gotta spend a little green and go somewhere. Here's what's local to us...
http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/
http://www.daytona500experience.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Canaveral (plenty of good photo ops in this area)
http://dunlawtonsugarmill.bizland.com/ (this would be a nice drive-to)

I highly recommend taking the cars out on the beach...what's the name of that beach we were on Don? It was sooo freekn cool and what a great pic that would be. Of course, be mindful of the tide.

will be watching this to see what the plan winds up being, I have absolutely no idea what we will be doing but it might be nice to drive down that way for a day or something. I have relocated from monticello (near tallahassee) back to my hometown of ...(somebody is going to have fun with this) Homosassa springs. so I am closer to the action then I have been for the past few years
