now what!?

i just had my transmission rebuilt. ive had it back aboot a month. it shifts smooth. but lately, ive noticed that when i "get on it" it boggs down or acts like it shifts into 3rd or 4th(OD). this only happens sometimes. other than that, the trans. feels fine. should i take it back to aamco? or could it be a computer problem? it didnt do this before my tranny when out. i dont know if it matters, but i had them put on a HD transmission cooler...

Take it back to Aamco, and see what they say.

Also make sure your car is up-to date on this list, something could be causing an issue.

Is Ammco generally ok to work with? What do they charge to rebuild a transmission normally?

Mine was almost $2400. I had a lot of hard parts that needed replacing, however. Their basic overhaul starts at about $1600, and is new seals, clutches, and gaskets. The more you need, the more it costs. My Aamco was very good to deal with, but we knew one of the techs that worked there, and he got us a good deal. Their warranty is good, though.

yeah, what he said. with the trans cooler install(which was 300 bucks by itself) my total for a rebuild was $2200.

how many times did you have to take it back too the shop after the rebuild ? im on number 3 it something wrong with my between 1 in 2 gear random hard shifts

I have not heard anything good come from Aamco.
When I needed my trans rebuilt, (2 years ago) I asked here and generally people said stay away from Aamco. I took my SSEi to a local Engine and transmission shop, and they did by rebuild for $1700 with a 1 year warranty. Last I heard, it is still going strong..

I've had 0 issues in the 3k that I've put on my new tranny. But, like I said, I know the guy that worked on it, so my case is a little different than most.
