Instrument panel lights out
After hooking up my fog lights to work with the high beams, my instrument panel lights don't work. I took the wire that hooked up the fogs to the highs and they still did not turn back on. I don't have the fuse box diagram so I can't tell which fuse is for the lights. Can someone point me in the right direction? Kinda sucks because I work 3rd shift and have to drive over 20 miles in the dark to work and can't see anything there, I have to turn on the interior lamps just to see the gauges.

Check fuses one at a time.

Re: Instrument panel lights out
To make it worse the taillights are out as well! I didn't know that and I just got pulled over about an hour ago. Luckily, he was super cool and just told me to turn my hazards on and to get home. I'm hoping it's just a fuse. Will check tomorrow to see what I find. Is there a relay that controls those lights as well? It all worked fine until I hooked up my fogs to the high beams, and now nothing.

Don't know if you ever figured out the problem, but just saw your post. My repair manual, p. 8a 10-0 diagram, shows LH Underhood fuse block #3 40A is for theft deter/ELC/Radio/Instrument Cluster/Chime/AC fuse.
RH underhood fuse block # 7 40A is for Power Accessory/Horms/Interior Lamps/Fog Lamps fuse.
Might try that last one first. Take a 40A out from one of the others that you know is working and try it first before you go buy one.
good luck. Let us know what you did to fix it.

Re: Instrument panel lights out
Thanks for the post. I had figured it out that same day I posted the topic. I had blown a fuse under the dash on the driver side. The one for the radio and others. I just went through every fuse and looked at them until I came across the bad one. Continued to look after fixing that for other possibly blown fuses. I guess I should have posted on here that I solved the problem, but thanks for sending that.

The biggest thing to remember is that anytime you are doing anything with wiring or even removing wires (like alt or starter replacement) is to remove the positive battery lead. It saves a lot of fuses.
