Welcome to the club. You have come to the right place for info on your car. Search "CAI" or "FWI" under performance & Brainstorming and you will find all you ever care to learn about cold air intakes and fender well intakes. General consensus here is that a FWI kit from Intense is the best setup for our cars. It'll set you back about 180.00.
1999 SSE. 112k, Cleared Corners, Mobile 1, Energy Suspension endlinks. Ported and Polished LIM, NGK TR-55 Sparkplugs, 180 drilled Intense stat, Flow matched injectors, Intense FWI, Intense PCM, MagnaFlow Cat.
