New Member Intro - Black '04 Bonneville SE

Post by Rouser »

Just wanted to introduce myself and my Bonneville to the forums. I'm an East Coast member from the Sunshine State (Go Gators!), so thankfully my Bonneville has not seen a harsh Winter. I've been following the forums for a couple of months, and I have finally gotten around to showing off my car. Thanks for all the info provided by the members, it has helped me immensely in customizing my Bonneville. I love the styling of the Bonneville and the fact that it's not a car you see too often on the road.

So to introduce you all to my Black '04 Bonneville SE, I thought I would show some pictures of her various modifications along the way. Let me know what you think. :)

New 18" Goodyear Eagle GT tires with Sport Tuning Thrust rims.

Cleared Headlights - Replaced Stock White Bulbs with Amber Bulbs (Will be replacing soon with Silverstars)
Image

Cleared Tails - Amber Bulbs, Silverstars soon enough...

Llumar Tint - 35% Front, 15% Rear

When I get a chance, I'll update with pictures with better lighting. The above pics don't really do her justice. I get complimented on the rims almost everywhere I go. Gotta love the Bonnevilles! Any questions(?), feel free to ask...

And boy was it a pain in the butt to get them cleared. Took me a whole afternoon and evening to get them done. Was well worth it though... :)

I usually hate rims. I think they're usually a waste of money that can be used for better things. BUT! Your rims are INCREDIBLE! I actually want those for MY car! Who makes them? Seriously, I want to price them out... lol

The rims are called "Thrust" and are made by Sport Tuning. I bought them from TireRack.com

Here are some better pics that also show off my red calipers

I am quite impressed with the GT's. The ride isn't quite as smooth as the triple treads, but overall I am quite happy with them. Plus they have great traction when the roads are wet, and here in Florida that always comes in handy. If you need a tire I'd highly recommend them. My dad liked them so much, he had them put on his car too.

Yeah to be honest I do see older Bonnevilles quite often here in Florida, but 00+ models are few and far between. I probably only see one a day at the most. I often get asked what car I drive, and when I tell people I drive an '04 Bonneville they just look at me dumb founded as to what kind of car that is. I was in a parking lot the other day and a woman walked up to my car to ask me where I got my rims, I told her, then she asked me what kind of car it was. She said she "hadn't seen one of these before." Made me laugh. :)
