Metallic Silver

I am very impressed the way it turned out.

Wow, that looks really good, especially with your paint. Now I'm getting tempted!

I added a picture of the before-hand look.

It was really easy, I took the grill out and masking taped in about 10 minutes.
Longest part was just waiting for it to dry.

I think the Silver grill on your car, would really compliment your cleared corners. Do it.

I'm on the fence about doing it, I kinda like the contrast since my car is black. I shall have to photochop it!

Are you gonna clear your corners?

In my last car, I had an issue with condensation in my headlights and any mod that might bring that back, I am afraid to do.

I wonder how that would look on a white car. I'm desperate to do something to make my car stand out of the crowd of white grandma mobiles.

My thought was: if it sucked, I could always re-paint it black.

Total Cost: Maybe $3.00

How that cheap for your paint.

What kind of paint did you guys use. I know its metallic, but is that all you need, is to just spray and wait to dry.

SOUNDS TOO EASY.

I'm not sure what kind they used, but I highly recommend Krylon Fusion which is made for plastics outdoor and automotive use. I painted mine in June 2005 ...use the car as a daily driver.... NO CHIPS still!

OK, sounds good but is that the only thing I need is the spray paint?.........or do I need anything else.

P.S: Is silver metallic the best color choice for a midnight blue metallic ssei

krylon fusion needs no primer, be careful it tends to get gummy if you lay it on too thick

Use the krylon fusion, as mentioned it doesn't need primer and I haven't had any chips yet, and mine is a DD.

They also sell the chrome mesh inserts on ebay for $10. Its already pre cut so all u have to do is attatch it with some wire that the seller provides with each order. I have them on my car will post pics later.

But I suggest if u buy them to spray a thin layer of clearcoat over it because over time it begins to lose its shine.

I already checked ebay, found nothin. I'll double check.
And yes, if you can post pics of your car, it will be better so I can compare the two.
