For the 00 guys.... This is the DRL Disable in the fuse block under the hood. Remove the relay and jump these connections.
If you don't jump the connections, the passenger's side head light will be out when you turn on the high beam.
Open the hood, remove the cover on the fuse box, find the location on the fuse block (I rotated the pic as if you were standing in front of the passenger side headlight). Pull out the relay for the DRLs. Take a small piece of wire and two ends and make a jumper. Plug the jumper in to the terminals and try starting the car.

At first I took out the DRL relay and bent a few prongs back and then plugged back in. I then seen that there is a DRL fuse by the DRL relay. I pulled the fuse and it disabled the DRL. I bent the prongs back to the normal state and plugged back in. My auto lights still work at night I just dont have the DRL anymore.
Sorry man I didnt realize that your DRL's were your high beams. Mine is a 05 and the DRL's were the low beams. I disconnected them cause I got a H.I.D conversion kit. Try just removing the relay and check the highbeams...Good luck and again im sorry.
I pulled the fuse and jumpered the two connections. Start the car and the lights are on and the high beams work just like I didn't pull or connect anything! ??

The picture is rotated as if you were standing behind the panel, looking at it from the hood hinge, I just noticed that. Might confuse someone.

Juan, go look at the fuse box in your car and tell me where it is. That picture is the exact opposite of what mine looks like from standing in front of the passenger headlight. I believe the OP of that thread made a mistake.

It prevents your headlights from being on during the day as daytime running lights. The still work as they should at night. I used a ground down spade connector.

This is a stupid mod IMO. Why would you want to disable a factory safety feature? You all know that you can see a car better (even during the day) when its headlights are on. The bulbs are only on at half brightness, so its not going to burn out your bulbs by leaving it enabled.

Well, it makes you less visible. It increases your chances of being in a collision. Other than that, well... It's really personal preference.

I disabled mine because the low beams are on all the time and if they are on day and night the headlight assembly will get hot and then the heat from the sun makes them look real bad. thats why you see alot of the cars incliding bonnevilles with faded and yellow headlight lenses. mine is 4 years old and you can see by my pics that they are not yellow or faded whatsoever. but I agree is personal preference.
The fading has nothing to do with your DRLs. Most heat issues come from plug and play HID kits.
Disabling them helps you and your car in no way whatsoever. It makes you far less visible to oncoming traffic.
Next time you're on the highway, take a look at oncoming traffic. Which cars can you see earlier? The ones with DRL's/headlights on, or the ones without?
